DESCRIPTION:A festival to celebrate garlic!!\n\n\n\nThe Historic Indian Agency House presents the 4th annual autumn celebration of yummy GARLIC !  Event takes place on Saturday September 14th from 10-3pm\, 1490 Agency House Road in Portage. \n\n\n\nThe Garlic Festival will include vendors selling different varieties of garlic for culinary or planting use\, handouts on how to plant garlic and recipes\, garlic creations like Garlic Pepper Jelly and Pickled Garlic Scapes. There will be lunch on the grounds featuring garlic brats and fresh lemonade.  Watch the Durward's Glen 4-H kids use a vintage apple cider press to make fresh cider and share samples. \n\n\n\nThe Garlic Festival will also feature local growers selling honey\, maple syrup (and maple cotton candy!)\, jams and jellies\, relishes and pickles\, pumpkins\, Brussels sprouts\, tomatoes\, and other fall produce.  And there will be a touch of special artists and a "cleaning out the basement of the Agency House" sale booth.  Bring the kids and we will be showing them how to play the age old game of croquet. \n\n\n\nTours will be given of the Agency House from 10 to 4pm as usual.
