SUMMARY:Kimberly Strittmater exhibit at PCA
DESCRIPTION:Come to Portage Center for the Arts to see the February 2025 featured exhibit: They Shall be Loved as Quiet Things BY KIMBERLY STRITTMATER\n\nKim has been an artist since childhood\, constantly drawing or painting animals (a lot of horses!) and people on every scrap of paper\, at every moment of downtime\, her mind always busy with stories and places she imagined.\n\nKim's work is a blend of animal and human representation\, her style is Impressionist-Realist. She loves painterly work\, artists such as John Singer Sergeant\, Sorolla\, Duran\, Anders Zorn\, Monet\, Bouguereau\, Waterhouse\, and Mary Cassatt to name a few\; they are inspirations to her with their command over form and expressive brushwork. To Kim\, being able to simplify a subject down to it's most elegant details\, and to state them simply and correctly with a bravura brushstroke is the ultimate form of understanding and art making.\n\nwww.kimberlystrittmater.com\n\nEXHIBIT THRU FEBRUARY 28\, 2025\n\nSponsored by Judy Kuse
