Auditions for Oklahoma

"OKLAHOMA!"
 
Portage Area Community Theatre (PACT) has chosen a Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musical classic opening Nov. 13 for two weekends at the Portage Center for the Arts stage. With director Stephen F. Murray, originally from Chicago, “Oh What a Beautiful Morning,” "I'm Just a Girl Who Can't Say No," and many others will delight audiences.  
 
Auditions are at John Muir School music room, 2600 Woodcrest, on Mon. Aug 25 & Tues. Aug. 26 from 6-9. Performers should arrive at 6:00 p.m., come dressed for dance and movement, and prepare a verse and chorus of a song to sing. An accompanist will be available. There are at least 5 women and 5 men, along with chorus parts; ages teens-adult. No experience is necessary to audition for this show. PACT also needs backstage help and musicians for the orchestra.
