Business Luncheon - 5/12/10
The Portage Area Chamber of Commerce is offering another way to network with your fellow Chamber members. The Chamber is offering a monthly Business Luncheon to help our members make those important connections that can help you in your business or career. Each month the luncheon will be at a different location and catered by a local member. Bring your business cards, brochures, or anything you wish to share with other members.

Guest Speaker: Todd Berry of the Wisconsin Taxpayer’s Alliance. Todd has been President of the Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance (WISTAX) since 1994. Now in its 78th year, WISTAX is a privately funded and widely respected nonpartisan organization dedicated to improving government through public policy research and citizen education.
Todd will be talking with us about the 2009-11 state budget, state finances: current and what is yet to come, taxes and expenditures (e.g. K12, Medicaid, Higher ed, and Corrections) and the WI economy and how it compares nationally
