Canal Days

Enjoy a piece of Portage's history with the 26th annual celebration of Canal Days! There will be reenactments, food, music, and fun for the whole family.
FRIDAY, MAY 30
• Wenzel Amazement Carnival - Wristband Night 5 to 10 pm  $20 Wristband
• Fish Fry by Country Kettle Corn  $11 each. Hand battered cod, deep fried, fries, coleslaw, pretzel roll and condiments.  Serving from 5pm until they run out. 

SATURDAY, MAY 31
• Historic Indian Agency House Craft/Vendor Fair & Tours
(Fee applies to tours) 10 am - 4 pm
• Historical Re-enactors Encampment at Agency House from
10 am to 4 pm, Skirmish 1 pm
• Fort Winnebago Surgeons Quarters tours 10 am – 4:00 pm (fee applies)
• Family Fun Flying on Divine Savior Campus 10 am - 4 pm, kite making 1-4 pm (Featuring the Wisconsin Kiters Club)
• Wenzel Amazements Carnival 11 am to 11 pm (Wristband 1 to 5 pm, $20)
• Children’s Games 11 am to 6 pm - Market Square
• Food Vendors 11 am to 11 pm - Market Square
• Free Canoeing on the Historic Portage Canal (weather permitting) On the Canal at
Adams Street, behind the old feed mill - 11 am - 5 pm
• Historic Canal Walking Tour with Mayor Tierney 11:30 am and 2:30 pm.
Meet at the old Woolen Mill lot (107 E Mullett)
• Beer Tent 11 am to 11 pm - Market Square
• Historic Indian Agency House “Wau-Bun Dramatic Readings” 7 pm
• LIVE BAND - Travis Agnew and the Tin Roof Sparrow 5 pm to 7 pm - Market Square
• LIVE BAND - ROAD TRIP 8pm to 11:30pm - Market Square
