• Historic encampment near the Indian Agency House and the place where the Fox River and canal meet. This year's event will feature a group of Revolutionary War rifleman re-enactors. 10am-3pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
• The North East Wisconsin Paddlers will begin its 2011 Fox-Wisconsin Heritage Paddle from Portage at Riverside Park. The launch will take place at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 5 after a group lunch in the park. The paddle is open to anyone who wants to go and for those 16 and over the cost is $10. Use a free canoe/kayak or bring your own for an easy, down stream, 10 mile guided paddle to Dekorra boat ramp. Free canoes, free Tee shirts, free van shuttles and free canoe trailer shuttles from Dekorra boat ramp & Hookers Resort back to Portage.

Parade begins at Pauquette Park with line up on Conant Street. Travels along Conant Street to Wisconsin Street and then takes a right onto Wisconsin Street and then a left onto Cook Street and continues to Marchowsky near Market Square Parking Lot.
• Softball Tournament run by Main Street Portage, beginning the evening of June 3 and running all weekend. Call 745-1861 for the details.
• Portage City Flea Market at Veteran's Memorial Field 7am-3pm on Saturday.
• Narrated walking tour of the city's downtown and waterfront at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 4. Meet at the Portage Area Chamber of Commerce office.
• Tours of the Historic Indian Agency House and Fort Winnebago Surgeon's Quarters. 10am -3pm both Saturday and Sunday.
• Free canoe rides in two locations on the Canal on Saturday at 2pm. Locations at the Downtown Feed Mill and at Hwy 33 and the Canal. Free Rides in the 30' Voyageur canoe.
• Horse drawn wagon rides in downtown along the Levee and Canal on Saturday afternoon.
• Be part of the Elks Club Fisheree at Pauquette Park at 9am on Sunday.
• Gone from this year's Canal Days are the demolition derby and the carnival.
