Sam Bieno was a normal college student when she was  diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Her dream of becoming a child psychologist was not lost, thanks to a generous donor who registered on the Be The Match national registry. But other patients aren’t always as lucky. “If a sibling isn’t a match, then this registry is a lifeline, literally,” she says.
