Friday to Sunday: Exhibit of quilts on display at the Portage Center for the Arts by the Calico Capers and Rio Quilters
Friday: Scraps of Quilting Music: A heartwarming one-man show celebrating the quilting tradition of America through songs, stories, poetry and lore. Lil’ Rev(Marc Revenson) plays guitar, mandolin, ukulele, harmonica and kazoo.
Performances at 12:30pm and 7:30pm(Please note the 9:30am show has been cancelled)
Saturday: Sewing and Sampler Expert Speaker and Exhibit at the Historic Indian Agency House. Eileen Bennett, a nationally renowned sampler expert and patternmaker will speak on the social significance of samplers over centuries as well as her project, Michigan Sampler Survey.
In addition, the Agency House will unveil a exhibit"A Stitch in Time: Women’s Fine and Fancy Work of the 19th and 20th Centuries." This exhibit will feature a variety of hand-worked artifacts and textiles on loan from the Sauk County Historical Society.
Sunday: River Haven Fundraiser will be featuring a Mother’s Day Musical with Mike Powers and friends. 2pm-4pm
