For one day only, Saturday, Oct. 13, Portage Area Community Theatre (PACT) and Deforest Library’s Dragonroof Players will be presenting a Reader’s theatre performance of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM. This free performance will take place at the Portage Public Library in the Bidwell Room of the Library at 1:00.
In case you’ve forgotten the plot of this classic comedy it goes something like this: Helena loves Demetrius. Demetrius Loves Hermia. Hermia loves Lysander. As these four romantics leave the confines of Athens to find freedom in the forest, a band of fairies try to help them all find true love—and accidentally cross their stars. In this reader’s theatre performance you are invited to use your imagination as the actors play more than one character and slip into different costume pieces.
Performers include: Alec Parsons, Rachel Sachtjen, Bryn Disch, Dawn Dinegan, Chelsea Dinegan Davis, Ian Davis, Brad Urban, Dana Qualy, Donovan Wendt and Laura Kochanowski.
