Poynette: Evil Hill Productions, coordinators of the Evil Hill Haunted House in the old abandoned Dekorra School in Poynette, has named the MacKenzie Environmental Education Center their charity of choice this fall 2013 Halloween Season.
Teaming up together the MacKenzie Center and Evil Hill are working together to promote the Haunted House and the Annual Haunted Hay Ride in an effort to build support from the local and surrounding communities. These events bring seasonal fun to the Poynette area by offering fun, safe and exciting events. Bringing many visitors to the area and builds community pride and spirit.
These two events are fundraisers for the MacKenzie Center and profits stay in Poynette at the Center to directly support outdoor and environmental education to youth and adults. In addition, support helps the Center maintain trails, fire tower, museums, pond and a live wildlife exhibit so that the general public can learn and appreciate the outdoors. The Center welcomes over 16,000 individuals for programming and an additional 20,000+ in general visitor use on an annual basis.
This family friendly Halloween Haunted Hay ride combines an outdoor campfire with snacks and a fun and spooky hay ride around the Center's property.
