Community Salute to Veterans in honor of 9/11

Twenty-five years after the day that changed our nation forever, we gather not only to remember the heroes we lost, but to carry forward their spirit through selfless action and service to our community. Join Habitat for Humanity of Wisconsin River Area and local partners for a meaningful day of service and honor at Welsh Church Cemetery. Volunteers will assist in cleaning veteran memorials starting at 10:00 AM, followed by a public honor ceremony at 1:00 PM to pay tribute to the military heroes who rest here. In serving and remembering those who dedicated their lives to our country, we fulfill our promise to Never Forget the courage, resilience, and sacrifice of those who rose up on 9/11.

All are welcome to attend our honor ceremony at 1pm. However, volunteers must register in advance for the cleaning activity; space is limited. See our website for details.
