Beasley Pavilion at Pauquette Park
The performance is the first of a series of free summer concerts at the pavilion. Bring your family and friends along with a lawn chair or blanket and spend a relaxing evening at the park listening to the live music. You are encouraged to bring your own picnic dinner to enjoy the slate of summertime concerts.
Mollie B and the Jim Busta Band will play their popular polka music at the pavilion on July 9. The Jimmys bring the blues music on July 23. The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, a longtime performer at Pauquette Park as part of the Portage Chamber’s annual Concert in the Park, will play its first performance under the Beasley Pavilion on July 30. All shows begin at 6 p.m.
The pavilion is named after George and Nancy Beasley, members of the Portage Service Club Association. The group is noted for helping to raise funds for the pavilion, walking path and restroom upgrades to Pauquette Park, Splash Pad at Goodyear Park and handicap pier at Silver Lake Beach. George Beasley, who died in 2020, is fondly remembered for his jovial personality, his kindness and willingness to help others and for playing Santa Claus.
Please join us for a summer evening to celebrate.
