Are you passionate about history and eager to share stories from Wisconsin’s past? Our historic site is seeking enthusiastic part-time Historical Interpreters for 9–10 hours per week, starting May 15th and continuing through the season. This is a fantastic opportunity to portray fascinating historical figures, engage visitors of all ages, and help make local history come alive!

As a Historical Interpreter, you’ll have the chance to represent notable figures from the era of ‘the portage’ and the settlement of Wisconsin pre-statehood, the fur traders cabin (1820–1848), and the Garrison School (life in a one-room schoolhouse 1850-1900). If you have a favorite historical character, let us know — we welcome interpreters with specific interests!
