My husband and I moved to Wyocena, WI eleven years ago. After I retired , an artist friend introduced me to watercolor painting at a local workshop. Though I was prepared to fail, I was surprised and excited as I watched ultramarine blue pigment flow down the wet paper, and I was hooked when I added the alizarin crimson, creating a lovely wash of blue, pink and purple! For the last six years I have taken classes from both Madison College and art websites, and subscribe to many favorite artist sites on YouTube. Over 50 art books later, and having experimented with a variety of mediums, I attempt landscapes, florals, animals, portraits, and just play. I may paint in traditional detail to very ‘loose’, and anything in between. I am currently showing at M&M Coffee Shop in Waunakee, the Mercantile in Portage and Two Hearts Gift Shop in Pardeeville.
